Crafty Wonderland
Big News from Crafty Wonderland Headquarters!
Hello Loyal Crafty Wonderlanders, After much thought and discussion, we have made the decision to take a break from the monthly Doug Fir shows in 2010. It was a very difficult decision to make - we have worked so hard over the years to build the event up to what it is today but it just feels like it's time to transition to a new format. Several things factored into our decision...first, we feel that the bad economy is not allowing our monthly vendors to make as much money as they should. Our main goal is to provide a venue where our vendors can earn a decent living selling their handmade goods. Second, we both have busy lives with families and the monthly sales take up alot of our time. We are ready for a break!

This DOES NOT mean that Crafty Wonderland is over - it is simply evolving! What we have decided to do is transition to TWO large-scale events a year. We feel that these larger and less frequent events draw more shoppers, earn vendors more money and create a destination event that is not to be missed. So with that, we would like to announce The Crafty Wonderland Super Colossal Spring Sale! For 2010 we will be adding a two day spring event that will take place on the weekend before Mother's Day! This event will be at the same location as the Super Colossal Holiday Sale and will be a similar structure. So mark your calendars for Saturday and Sunday, May 1st + 2nd, 2010! Vendor applications for this event should be available in late January / early February. We will be sending updates out to this list so stay tuned.

We are not ruling out the idea of working with Doug Fir again in the future. We have loved working with them and hope to maybe do some occassional special events there. We are excited about having the freedom to get creative with the kinds of events we coordinate - perhaps working with other organizations / groups to hold special one-time shows. The way we look at it, the possibilities are endless and we can't wait to see the direction that Crafty Wonderland takes in the coming year! Thank you all for your continued support over the last 3.5 years! It's been amazing!

We hope you will all join us at the November 8th Crafty Wonderland show - it will be our last monthly show at Doug Fir for the time being! And don't forget to join us for the Super Colossal Holiday Sale on Sunday, December 13th - with over 200 vendors and lots of fun extras in the works, it looks to be our biggest and best event to date!

Thanks again,
Cathy + Torie
